Lottie Brooks faces the embarrassing every-day dramas of starting secondary school in this fun, engaging series. Not only is this the top recommendation of my daughter in Y5, it’s also one of the series I most often see in the hands of kids at school – these books get them excited about reading, and I can see why, with the self-deprecating, funny, dramatic Lottie Brooks, it’s hard not to smile when reading about her life and how she navigates those mortifying pre-teen moments so inelegantly but with oodles of charm.
