My Review
Autumn is hassled by the dead, which makes it hard not to seem weird to the living. But when Dad dies, he’s the one ghost that doesn’t appear. His mysterious death leads Mum, Autumn and The Dog to relocate to his childhood home, the island of Imber. At first she enjoys escaping the ghosts that surrounded her in London, but sinister secrets and old mysteries mean Autumn is running out of time to stop history repeating itself.
This book has plenty of twists and turns, a spooky atmosphere, characters you’ll want to spend time with and it definitely got under my skin. I’d recommend this to upper KS2 readers who enjoy a mystery with gothic vibes.
