In the atmospheric streets of Shelwich, magic rises and falls with the tides and people disappear when the mists rise. Ista comes in search of her missing father and uses her face-mimicking tide blessing to investigate. But the more Ista unravels of the mystery, the deeper the intrigue goes, until Ista must delve into the hidden caverns beneath the town and the secrets of its history to unmask the monsters behind the mystery.
There are plenty of exciting twists and turns in this immersive adventure, with magic and mystery woven deeply into its heart. It’s beautifully written with plenty of dark, spooky seaside vibes and a compelling cast of characters. A great addition to any middle-grade library.
